Terms of Service
Last updated: 2 May 2026These terms govern your use of historyteller.co.uk, the related sub-domains operated by ERZ Nova Ltd (including the HistoryTeller audio guide at app.historyteller.co.uk), and any services provided through them. By using the site you agree to these terms.
1. About us
The site is operated by ERZ Nova Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales ([company number]) with its registered office at [registered office address]. You can contact us at hello@erznova.co.uk.
Separate terms apply to the agreement between ERZ Nova and a heritage venue partner; nothing in this page replaces a signed venue agreement.
2. Permitted use
You may use this site and the HistoryTeller audio guide for personal, non-commercial enjoyment of heritage content provided through partner venues. You agree that you will not:
- Use the site or guide in any way that breaks any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or related infrastructure
- Reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit any audio narration, scripts, imagery, or other content without our prior written permission
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or load-test the service beyond reasonable individual use
3. Intellectual property
All content on the site and within the HistoryTeller audio guide — including audio narration, scripts, imagery, the "HistoryTeller" name, the "ERZ Nova" name, the hexagon logo mark, and the underlying software — is owned by ERZ Nova Ltd or its licensors and is protected by UK and international intellectual-property law. Limited rights to listen to audio are granted to visitors using the guide at participating venues; no other rights are transferred.
4. Voluntary contributions
The HistoryTeller audio guide may invite voluntary contributions ("Support Us") at the end of a chapter or session. Payments are processed by Stripe; ERZ Nova does not store full card details. Voluntary contributions are non-refundable except where required by law. If a contribution was made in error, contact us at hello@erznova.co.uk and we will consider the request in good faith.
5. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the site and audio guide available continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may add, remove, or change features (including content at any specific venue) at any time. We may suspend service for maintenance or security with reasonable notice where practical.
6. Third-party links and content
The site may contain links to third-party websites or reference third-party services (for example, Stripe for payments and Cloudflare for hosting). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of those third parties.
7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The site and the HistoryTeller audio guide are provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, ERZ Nova Ltd excludes all implied warranties about merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and accuracy of content. Heritage narration is researched in good faith but is provided for general interest only and should not be relied upon as professional or academic advice.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under the laws of England and Wales. Subject to that, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with these terms or your use of the service is limited to £100.
8. Privacy and cookies
Our handling of personal data is described separately in our Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page; the "Last updated" date will reflect the most recent change. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute, except that we retain the right to bring proceedings against you for breach of these terms in any country where you are resident.
